"McGill & Rodgers represented me in an attempt to gain custody of my daughter from my ex-wife. To say they were anything short of amazing would be an understatement. They were professional, knowledgeable and their performance in the courtroom was tremendous. They truly listened to my concerns and were a constant voice of reason throughout the entire process. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them."
Protecting the Rights of Men as Well as Women in Divorce Proceedings
At the law office of McGill & Rodgers, we protect men’s rights with respect to their children, whether or not they are married to the mother. We believe that every good parent should have meaningful access to their children and should be able to participate in their growth and development. The old perception that men are disfavored by the courts and cannot be actively involved in the lives of their children is generally not true. We have successfully represented many fathers in obtaining equal time with their children.
We address all issues affecting fathers in divorce actions, including:
- Child custody. We will work with you to identify the physical and legal custody arrangements that are in the best interests of your children and that promote a meaningful parent-child relationship between you and your children.
- Visitation. If you are not granted physical custody, we will help you establish and put in place visitation or parenting plans that meet the needs of your children and provide for regular and meaningful time with your children.
- Child support. We will review all proposed child support orders for compliance with Oklahoma guidelines and ensure that all relevant income is included in the calculation.
- Paternity determinations. We work with men who seek to establish or refute paternity and also assist with any custody or support issues that arise.
We work with men at any stage of the divorce process, including a modification of an existing order. If you simply deferred to your child’s mother when it came to custody and visitation, we can work with to you modify the existing order and bring about a fair result.
